Dashboard Confessional encapsulates the passion of what I love and for the moment lost. I'm in a state of perpetual melancholiness and confussion due to a situation with my girlfriend, which led to us breaking up temporarily. The theme of the song "Hands Down" epitomized our relationship and does even more so now than ever. I gave my heart to this girl to do as the song says, "break or bury, or wear as jewelry, whichever you prefer." The romance and symbolism of this line as well as the entire stanza still sends shivers down my spine everytime I hear it -- even though I've heard it a million times. When I listen to this song I think of my Kerr and a massive tyraid of emotions and feelings attack me. Maybe this is why the genre of music is called "emo" because it is overly emotional to the point of leaving the listener in a state of paralysis. Please enjoy this tribute to a special person. A relationship grows like a hierachy and nobody knows what will happen next -- just let fate take its course and everything will be perfect.
